The Believer's Seat of Power
In Luke 10:19, the Lord Jesus Christ gave an extraordinary commission to His disciples: Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Many Christians plead for things that God has already commanded them to decree. The Church must awaken from passivity and operate as the governing body of Christ upon the earth.
1. Understanding Authority Versus Power
There is a profound biblical distinction between power (dunamis) and authority (exousia). While power represents raw kinetic strength, authority is delegated legal right. When a police officer raises a hand, heavy vehicles halt not because of physical muscle, but because the full authority of the government stands behind that uniform. When you speak in the name of Jesus, all the power of Heaven backs your decree.
2. Operating From the Heavenly Realm
Ephesians 2:6 reveals that God has raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. You do not fight towards victory; you fight from an established victory. When sickness, fear, or oppression comes against you, you command it to bow from a superior spiritual altitude.
3. The Law of the Spoken Word
Kingdom authority is released primarily through the tongue. Jesus did not merely think about calming the storm—He rebuked the wind and commanded the waves: Peace, be still! Speak to the mountain confronting your destiny. Command dry bones to live and call forth those things which be not as though they were.
Declaration of Kingdom Dominion
Father, thank You for seating me with Christ far above all principality, power, might, and dominion. Today, I enforce kingdom authority over my atmosphere, my health, and my household. Every rebellious circumstance must submit to the lordship of Jesus Christ. I reign in life as a king and priest of the Most High God. Amen!
